Thomas Rhett will return with Kelsea Ballerini for a second year as the hosts of this week’s CMA Fest primetime special on ABC. Last year we thought Thomas looked like a natural as the host and he says, “I’m glad that you think I’m a natural. I really appreciate that. Me and Kelsea were in the dressing room the other night watching our intros back from last year and we just were both embarrassed at ourselves the entire time. I was yelling the entire time. Her hand was just moving the entire time and so we get better at it every year.”
Thomas, who is inching closer to another number one song with “Life Changes,” hopes that he’ll have more years to continue to improve his hosting skills. “It’s kind of always been a dream of mine to do TV or just to act in any form or fashion,” say Thomas. “So it’s been really cool to get out of here and hopefully do a good job hosting the CMA Fest and glad they keep asking us back.”
You can watch the three-hour CMA Fest special this Wednesday night at 8pm/7pm CT on ABC, featuring performances by Florida Georgia Line, Brett Young, Luke Combs, Midland and many others.

But no, I appreciate you saying that it’s kind of always been a dream of mine to do TV or just to act in any form or fashion and so it’s been really cool to get out of here and hopefully do a good job hosting the CMA Fest and glad they keep asking us back.”
