(AUDIO) THOMAS RHETT IS PLANNING HIS FOLLOW UP TO TANGLED UP

It was a year ago that Thomas Rhett released his sophomore album, Tangled Up, featuring “Crash and Burn,” “T-shirt,” “Die A Happy Man” and “Vacation.”  Now Thomas is planning his next move, and as busy as he is, he says, “You really do have time to be creative. If you don’t take that time to be creative, then you’re gonna put something out that’s not worth anybody’s time, in my opinion or at least for myself. But I’ve already been out on the road writing a ton.”

Thomas says he isn’t necessarily turning out songs for his next album.  “I’m not even necessarily writing for me. I’m just writing songs to try to figure out which direction my brain wants to go, what kind of songs I want to write, where I’m at in my life right now, what kind of content do I want to write about,” explains Thomas.  “So it’s just really fun to get back in and be creative again and start that process again of just like well, what are we gonna do different on this one that we didn’t do on the second one that can really up the game?”

Thomas will soon be announcing plans for his next project, which he’ll release before the end of the year.

Thomas Rhett – Follow up to Tangled Up :45

“By the time ‘Die A Happy Man’ had gone #1, I was like geez, I better start really getting back in the swing of things. As an artist, I think you feel like you have to turn around so fast. I’ve gotta do this and gotta do this. You really do have time to be creative. If you don’t take that time to be creative, then you’re gonna put something out that’s not worth anybody’s time, in my opinion or at least for myself. But I’ve already been out on the road writing a ton. I’m not even necessarily writing for me.
