A lot of country stars are finding ways to build their brand beyond music, whether it’s bars or fashion or liquor brands, and Thomas Rhett is definitely interested in growing his brand, but he wants to make sure he does it in the right way, like Kenny Chesney. Thomas says, “Kenny has to be the best person to learn from.”
Kenny has his own rum line, his own line of Costa sunglasses and his business ventures match the vibe of his music. Thomas says, “It’s just really cool to watch them use their platform as a singer to go do other things that they’re passionate about. Because I watch Kenny’s show and I genuinely feel like I’m at the beach. And anytime I drink a Blue Chair Bay mixed rum drink I’m just like, ‘Cool, like this feels right.’ You know he’s done it so well and I hope I can just continue to learn from him.”
Thomas just scored his 12th #1 of his career with “Sixteen.” The next single he’ll release will be off a new album he’ll release later this year. And perhaps he’ll find some side ventures to compliment his music and the vibe he’s creating at his live shows.

“Kenny has to be the best person to learn from. Now, I feel like FGL’s in that same mindset of just Old Camp, having a bar, same with Chesney, you know, with Blue Chair Bay. And it’s just really cool to watch them use their platform as a singer to go do other things that they’re passionate about. Because I watch Kenny’s show and I genuinely feel like I’m at the beach. And anytime I drink a Blue Chair Bay mixed rum drink I’m just like, ‘Cool, like this feels right.’ You know he’s done it so well and I hope I can just continue to learn from him.”
