Thomas Rhett’s career has been on somewhat of a meteoric rise, with a string of #1 hits and his latest song, “Vacation,” racing up the charts, and he admits he remembers when it wasn’t so on fire. “It’s crazy. I remember putting out my first single and my second single and they both died at fifteen. And so we started to almost have number fifteen parties for my career, and it kind of felt like the curse of fifteen.”
But soon after that, Thomas scored his first #1 with “It Goes Like This,” and now he’s been riding a wave of #1 hits off his Tangled Up album and he admits, “I’m kind of on a roller coaster trying to catch up a little bit. It’s been so busy, that I haven’t actually got a chance like sit and reflect on what has actually happened in the last year, but my wife and I just feel so blessed for all the success we’ve had.”
Perhaps he’ll be able to celebrate the inevitable success of “Vacation” by taking a vacation and reflecting on everything that has happened over the past year in his career.

Thomas Rhett – growth in career :27
“It’s crazy. I remember putting out my first single and my second single and they both died at fifteen. And so we started to almost have number fifteen parties for my career, and it kind of felt like the curse of fifteen, but I’ll never forget my first number one with ‘It Goes Like This’. And now, with the success of ‘Tangled Up’ and having ‘Crash and Burn’ and ‘Die a Happy Man’ and now ‘T-Shirt’ do what they’ve done, I’m kind of on a roller coaster trying to catch up a little bit. It’s been so busy, that I haven’t actually got a chance like sit and reflect on what has actually happened in the last year, but my wife and I just feel so blessed for all the success we’ve had.”
