Thomas Rhett’s two daughters are two and four-years-old, which means Christmas is going to be a lot of fun in his household. And now with his own family, Thomas and his wife Lauren are looking to start some traditions of their own, and he says, “I think a lot of them are gonna be stemmed on traditions that we grew up having, like, whether it’s opening one gift on Christmas Eve or always getting new ornaments for the Christmas tree.”
One Christmas tradition Thomas would be happy to break is having a real Christmas tree, which I something Lauren is dead set on. Thomas says, “I wish we could get a fake one but you know, we’re gonna get a real one for forever probably.”
Thomas’ family has come up with a few traditions of their own already. He says, “We always watch The Santa Clause at least a thousand times before Christmas actually gets there, and we still kind of celebrate Christmas five or six days after Christmas, as well, because we’re not ready for it to end. And we always decorate our house and we love Christmas. It’s our favorite time of the year, and as our kids get older, hopefully they can help us make some new traditions.”
Thomas is on the verge of having his latest #1 song with “Remember You Young,” and he’ll kick off the new year with a brand new song, “Beer Can’t Fix,” off his Center Point Road album, featuring Jon Pardi. Plus, shortly after the New Year, Thomas and Lauren will be welcoming their third baby girl into the world.
