CURRENT SINGLE: “Country Again”
Thomas Rhett will soon be getting back into his routine of touring, which means less time at home with his daughters, so we wondered what one of his favorite things to do with them has been during the pandemic. “Well there’s a lot,” Thomas says, “but I think my favorite thing that we did this past year was like, we have a little sliver of woods next to our house. And one day me and the kids just got a rake and I got some hedge clippers, and we just kinda cut a trail through the woods and built a little fire pit, and we called it Narnia.”
To make it even more fun and magical, Thomas’ wife Lauren bought some kind of toll kit and created a whole troll world around a tree in Narnia, and Thomas says, “It’s just funny, like my kids will wake up and will be like, ‘Daddy, let’s go hang out in Narnia for a little bit.’ It’s kinda like a dad getting to help build a treehouse with a kid, but we just kinda paved a little trail through the woods and built a fire pit and called it Narnia. And that was one of my favorite memories of this last year and something that I think we’ll be using for a long time.”
Fortunately, in between his time playing festivals this summer, and the dates on his Center Point Road Tour beginning in mid-August, Thomas will have some time to spend at home and visit Narnia again with his daughters.
