Thomas Rhett’s latest single, “Beer Can’t Fix,” with Jon Pardi, is now his latest top ten single, and it’s well on its way to likely becoming his next #1 song of his career, but even with over a dozen hit songs to his credit, he never tires or takes for granted hearing his songs on the radio. Thomas vividly remembers the first time it happend. He recalls, “I was driving from Los Angeles to Vegas, and there was a station in between those two routes that had told us what exact time they were gonna play my song. And so me and one of my radio reps, George Briner, turned the radio to that station. I still have the video somewhere on an old iPad of us filming ourselves in the car listening to that first single for the first time, and those are things you just don’t forget.”
As much as Thomas will never forget that first time, hearing one of his songs on the radio, even today, never gets old. “Here we are, so much time later, and every time I hear a song that I’ve written for somebody else or a song that I’m singing on the radio, it really does feel just a special as day one,” says Thomas.
“Beer Can’t Fix” is well on its way to becoming Thomas’ 15th #1 song of his career.
