current single: “BEAUTIFUL AS YOU”

Thomas Rhett just released his new album, About A Woman, featuring his latest single, “Beautiful As You.” There’s also a song on his new album called “Church,” which is a tribute to one of his musical heroes, Eric Church. Thomas grew up listening to Eric’s music and says his first two albums were the soundtrack to his high school years, which is probably why he was so nervous when he first started getting to know Eric on a personal level.

“It started with meeting him probably eight or nine years ago and exchanging phone numbers. And I remember for the first couple years I was terrified to text him. It was cool enough to know that I had his number in my phone, but I was like I was never gonna text this guy. But every now and then we’d run into each other and he’d be like, ‘Man, let’s play golf, or let’s do whatever.’ And over the last few years our text chain is literally just like, anytime we write songs we’re sending them to each other just to kind of get honest feedback and critique. And I wouldn’t say we’re best friends, but we’re definitely acquaintances and love to send songs back-and-forth to each other.”
