(AUDIO) THOMAS RHETT WOULD LIKE TO OPEN A BUSINESS, BUT MAYBE NOT A BAR

In the last couple of years, restaurants and bars emblazoned with country stars names have popped up all over downtown Nashville.  There’s Blake Shelton’s Ole Red, Florida Georgia Line’s FGL House, Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row, Jason Aldean’s Kitchen & Rooftop Bar, Luke Bryan’s 32 Bridge Food & Drink and more.  Thomas Rhett is one of the most popular artists in country music these days, so has he considered joining the bar party?  “I don’t know,” says Thomas.  “I think I just want to figure out if we ever do something like that, what is the vibe gonna be, like what kind of food, where’s it gonna be.”

On the other hand, Thomas feels like the celebrity bar lane is already pretty crowded.  He says, “Like every artist is opening a bar in Nashville. It’s insane – like literally every artist.  And so I would like to do something a little bit unique and see what we could do.”

For now, Thomas is celebrating his new #1 song, “Sixteen” and he’s preparing to release a brand new song that will be on his fifth studio album, arriving later this year.
