Tim McGraw just released his brand new single, “Top of the World,” which is the first offering from a new album he’s working on to follow-up his Sundown Heaven Town album. If Tim can duplicate the process he enjoyed with his last album, he’ll be happy.
Speaking of the team at Big Machine and his last album, Tim says, “They give me the freedom, I can go make the records I wanna make. This is the first album I’ve ever turned in, including the first album with Big Machine that I’ve ever turned in…I’ve always…I’m very specific and I’m a stickler about my songs and the kinda songs I wanna do, but this is the first time I’ve turned in an album, and gave it to the label, and just said, I don’t care what song you put out, and there’s eighteen songs on the album. I was happy with whatever they wanted to do with the process of puttin’ these singles out. I just felt that good about this record.”
Tim expects to have his new album ready for a fall 2015 release.

Tim McGraw – working with BMLG great :39
“Yah, it’s been great. Workin’ with Scott and the guys over at Big Machine, it’s a great bunch, and they give me the freedom, I can go make the records I wanna make. WHAT HE’S DOING THIS WEEK – AUGUST 10, 2015 – MONDAY
Tim McGraw is playing shows this weekend in Birmingham on Friday (8/14) and on Saturday, (8/15) he plays the Bridgestone arena in Nashville. Check out additional SOUND from McGraw talking about his Saturday (8/15) Nashville date here.
(:29) (Tim McGraw) “I look forward to coming home ’cause my daughters you know and all of their friends and all the family friends and all the people that work for us and their friends and family. So it’s gonna… I mean we could fill up the arena with just people that we know so that’s gonna be a lot of fun. Nashville’s always… it’s a lot of work because you know so many people and you have to say hi to so many people and you want everybody to feel at home but it’s always rewarding at the end because to be able to… And there’s a looseness about it too, you can go up and you can do your show but you can have a little bite more fun with it then typically because the people you know are out there.”
