Tim McGraw has been known to go without his cowboy hat in his everyday life, but he always wears his signature black hat when he’s performing on stage and Tim says his band and crew came up with the best analogy for his famous accessory.
“It’s sorta like Superman’s cape I guess. It’s like I don’t really feel like I’m ready to hit the stage until I put my hat on.” The Sundown Heaven Town singer says, “It just sort of changes the whole character I guess.”
You’ll be able to see Tim sporting his trusty hat when he performs on the 48th Annual CMA Awards on November 5th on ABC.
