Tim McGraw’s latest song, “How I’ll Always Be,” is just about to move into the top ten on the charts and although he’s had a ton of hit songs in his career, Tim says, “No, it never gets old. It’s sweeter every time actually. I mean, you know, for all the years that I’ve been doing this and lucky enough to be able to make records that connect with people. As an artist, that’s what you want to do. You want to make records that connect with people.”
Tim is recognized as an artist who consistently picks great songs, and he says the trick is, “When I go into the studio I try to make a record that I love. I can’t go in and think about what radio or what fans or what label or what management wants. I’ve gotta make a record that speaks to me and what I love, and in turn, you hope it moves other people.”
That formula seems to have worked again for Tim with “How I’ll Always Be” off his Damn Country Music album.
