(AUDIO) TIM McGRAW IS GRATEFUL FOR THE WORK ETHIC AND LIMITED DIALOGUE HE EXPERIENCED ON ‘1883’

CURRENT SINGLE: “7500 OBO”

We learned recently that the next spinoff of the Yellowstone franchise, 1932, will star Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren.  While not specified, there is speculation Harrison and Helen will take over the roles of James and Margaret Dutton, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s characters in 1883.  Now that his time with 1883 is over, when Tim reflects on what he’ll take away from the experience of filming the show, he laughs and says, “I learned that you can work through being really tired, cause it beat us up pretty good. It was a lot of hard work but it was such a gratifying experience.”

On a more serious note about his time on 1883, Tim says, “I think more than anything, the hard work from the crew, the hard work from the actors, I learned that it’s one of those things that you can’t show up and expect to be good. You have to put the work in and you have to put your heart and soul into something like that. And I’ve always felt like I’ve done that with every project that I’ve ever done, but I also think every project I’ve done outside of music has made me a better musician.”

While filming 1883 was exhausting and dirty and challenging, we wondered what Tim would miss the most about playing James Dutton, and he said, “Mmmm … probably not talking as much, because he was a man a few words and I kinda like that.”
