(AUDIO) Tim McGraw Loves Helping To Develop New Young Artists

Besides continuing to build his own career, Tim McGraw says he is definitely interested in finding and working with new young artists. Tim loves producing young artists because he says, “You sort of step outside yourself as an artist and look at it from the other side of the window.” But also, in some ways, working with young artists allows Tim to live vicariously through them.

“I think in a lot of ways as a producer it’s fun to find these great artists who can do things that you wish that you could do,” he explains. “You know, when you go into sing you have these ideas, or these records that you want to make and you can’t quite pull it off because you can’t quite do what you hear sometimes. And to find these artists sometimes who can do what you hear is what producing to me really means. To be involved in making their records is something I love to do.”

While Tim hasn’t mentioned any specific artists he’s working with at this time, that’s something he definitely plans to make time for in his career, when he’s not busy promoting his new single, “Lookin’ for That Girl,” and preparing to launch a new tour and release his new album in May.

Tim McGraw – developing younger artists :38
