CURRENT SINGLE: “7500 OBO”
Tim McGraw is getting ready to kick off the McGraw 2022 Tour at the end of this month, and it will be his first solo tour in eight years, which seems like a lot of work. But Tim says going on tour is nothing compared to filming the Paramount+ series 1883. “This was the hardest job we’ve ever had, and I grew up working on a farm.”
Despite the fact that Tim and his wife Faith Hill worked 15, 16, 17 hour days filming the show, and existed on only a few hours of sleep a night, Tim says, “We were so grateful to be able to do that, and to be able to do it together. You know, Taylor created such a beautiful script and created such a great world for us to live in. And the costuming was so incredible, the cast was incredible, and working with my wife every day was just one of the greatest experiences of my career.”
The same way Tim talks about Faith raising the bar anytime he has to sing with her on stage, he says, “Watching (the show) back and seeing her performance, she absolutely blew me away on that show. She made me better. She brought her A game every single day.”
Now that 1883 is over, and the storyline is progressing forward 50 years for a new Yellowstone spin-off called 1932, Tim will focus on music for a while with his latest single, “7500 OBO” and his tour, which will run through early June and then be followed up with a string of fair and festival headlining dates throughout the summer.
