CURRENT SINGLE – “Undivided” w/ Tyler Hubbard
Tim McGraw recently admitted that the older he’s gotten, the more emotional he’s gotten. He cries a lot more than he used to, and his emotions can be triggered by something as big as a special moment with his family or as silly as watching a commercial. As for why Tim has grown more emotional over time, he says. “I don’t know, maybe it works reverse for some people.”
Rather than getting jaded and less emotional as they get older, perhaps some people get softer and more emotional with time. For instance, Tim says, “I know my uncle Hank, Tug’s older brother, 77 I believe, and he’s always been a pretty stoic guy in a lot of ways. But boy, I call him now and all I can do is say two or three things to him and he just falls apart.”
Perhaps Tim’s heightened emotions are hereditary. “Maybe it’s a family trait,” he says. “The older you get the more emotional you get on the McGraw side of the family. Maybe that’s what happens, I don’t know. But, I guess you start looking at like differently and I think that’s probably it more than anything.”
