Tim McGraw has said there are a couple of songs on his latest album, Damn Country Music, that he might not have recorded earlier in his career for various reasons. One of those songs is his brand new single, “Humble and Kind.” Tim explains, “I don’t know that I wouldn’t have recorded it, but I don’t think I would’ve been able to tackle it the way I have, I think, in this album and the way this record is come off. I think that those are sort of things that you wanna hear from someone has a little experience.”
Now that Tim has enough life experience to convincingly deliver a song like “Humble and Kind” it was important for him to record because he says, “Having daughters and having kids who are growing up and going out into the world that song really speaks to me. I certainly think in this day and age in the world that we live in everybody can be so cynical and so snarky and a little bit mean, I think that that song needs to be heard.”
“Humble and Kind” was officially delivered to radio this weekend.

Tim McGraw – songs might not have recorded before :40
“I think there are maybe a few songs that I earlier in my career I may not have recorded, ‘Humble and Kind’. I think that those are sort of things that you wanna hear from someone has a little experience. I think that I’ve got a lot of experience under my belt at this point in my life. But having daughters and having kids who are growing up and going out into the world that song really speaks to me. I certainly think in this day and age in the world that we live in everybody can be so cynical and so snarky and a little bit mean, I think that that song needs to be heard.”
