Tim McGraw is a huge Bruce Springsteen fan, so he’ll never forget the time he and Faith Hill had a chance to join Bruce on stage at a MusiCares event and sing with him. Unfortunately for Tim, in the moment, he was a bit forgetful. He and Faith sang “Tougher than the Rest” together, and then he recalls, “At the end we all got up together, he called everybody up to sing ‘Glory Days’ and sure enough he calls me out to sing the second verse and I couldn’t remember the words to the second verse, so, sorta screwed that up.”
Ultimately, Tim wasn’t that bothered by his brain fade because he says, “I was on stage with Springsteen, so it didn’t matter.”
Tim is currently out on his Shotgun Rider Tour while he works on his next album, which will be released this fall, featuring his brand new single, “Top of the World.”

Tim McGraw – Bruce Springsteen :30
“Yeah, I’m a huge Bruce Springsteen fan. Faith and I sang ‘Tougher Than the Rest’ together, which was fantastic. We enjoyed that. Got to see some great performances. It was for ‘MusiCares’ to raise money for musicians who are in trouble, which is a fantastic charity, and it’s for the Grammy’s, and at the end we all got up together, he called everybody up to sing ‘Glory Days’ and sure enough he calls me out to sing the second verse and I couldn’t remember the words to the second verse, so, sorta screwed that up. I was on stage with Springsteen, so it didn’t matter.”

(:34) (Tim McGraw) “I’m always in awe when I walk around that city at the history there and what it means to our country and what it represents. And it’s always been good to me to play there. One of my things that I look the most forward to is not always because time doesn’t allow but when time allows to go in and run the mall. The run on the mall to the Lincoln Memorial and just around the mall there is just one of the greatest runs that ever can be. And in fact I ran that with our buddy Lieutenant Colonel Danny Knight who just a great guy and like I said before has been a friend of our families and Faith’s for year, I got to do that run with him one time which was really special.”
