Tim McGraw debuted his new single, “Meanwhile Back at Mama’s,” on this year’s ACM Awards. He chose that song as his next single because he says, “I think that song is just very reflective and I love the story that it tells.”

He also feels like the sentiment of the song is very universal, which was important when deciding to perform it on the ACM Awards. “On a TV show like that when you have an opportunity to display a new song you want a song that everybody can sort of relate to it,” explains Tim. “And that song to me is something that everybody sort of longs for, is nostalgic for and it’s like comfort food in a lotta ways.”

“Meanwhile Back at Mama’s” will be featured on Tim’s new album, Sundown Heaven Town, which will be available on September 19th.
