Trent Harmon’s music career has taken off since he won the 15th and final season of American Idol, and it turns out, had a friend of his not convinced him to try out for the show, we may have never heard from him musically. Trent says before Idol, “I was a musician, I gigged all the time, even nights that I had to work at the restaurant I’d close up the restaurant and go gig maybe like a 12 to 2:30 spot. And it just wasn’t paying off, you know, the restaurant made more sense and I was good at that and music was too much of a gamble.”
Thankfully Trent’s success on Idol made the gamble more feasible and now we’ve got his single, “There’s A Girl,” on the radio and a his debut album in the works.
