When Trent Harmon thinks about the brave men and women of our military, he is awed by their selflessness. Trent says, “I myself would not be able to go put my life at stake for a stranger. There aren’t too many strangers that I would just on the street say, ‘Yeah, sure man, I’d love to go overseas and protect your freedom.’ I don’t know that there’s any I would do it for. There’s a short list of people that I’m related to that I would just be, ‘Sign me up I’ll go do it,’ and they do it for strangers. They do it for people that don’t even know that they exist.”
Trent admits that like so many Americans, he is ignorant about what a lot of our troops are doing every single day to protect our freedoms. That’s why Trent says he tries to express his gratitude for our military men and women every day, and not just on Memorial Day. He says, “I try to shake their hand. I know it’s not a lot but just acknowledge that I know what you’re doing and I appreciate it. God love ‘em and God bless ‘em because they’re better than me.”
Trent is celebrating the release of his brand new album, You Got ‘Em All, the title track of which is currently climbing the charts.
Trent Harmon – Memorial Day :49
“I think the people that serve our country we take for granted, in the sense that I myself would not be able to go put my life at stake for a stranger. They do it for people that don’t even know that they exist. They don’t care because we’re ignorant to the fact of what they’re doing every day, me included. But it’s not just Memorial Day on that day. I try to shake their hand. I know it’s not a lot but just acknowledge that I know what you’re doing and I appreciate it. God love ‘em and God bless ‘em because they’re better than me.”
