Sometimes when an artist writes a song, there are some elements of their real life in the lyrics.  Trent Harmon says when it comes to his debut single, “There’s A Girl,” “If you would say something is loosely based on a true story that would not be this. This is pretty tightly based. I know that’s not probably a real use of that word, but it is. We actually in the writing process, I would say “Alright. Here are the stupid things that I did with that particular situation and we just fit it into a chorus.”

So if you’ve ever done something silly or crazy or nonsensical because of someone you liked, then chances are you’ll totally relate to Trent Harmon’s song, and Trent can totally relate to you.
