(AUDIO) TUCKER BEATHARD AVOIDS COLLEGE RIVALRIES ON ROCK ON COLLEGE TOUR

Tucker Beathard has spent the last few weeks visiting Big Ten Conference college towns with his Rock On College Tour.  His brother, CJ Beathard, is the quarterback for the Iowa Hawkeyes, which is part of the Big Ten, which may have influenced his decision to play that part of the country.  But also, Tucker says, “Over the past couple of years we played in the north a lot more and the Midwest a lot more than really anywhere else. And it just made sense, and also gives me the opportunity to play in Iowa City again because whenever I play in Iowa it feels like a homecoming show. You know it’s like my second home and they support me really well.”

As for stirring up any college rivalries, Tucker said, “I’m definitely not gonna go to a bunch of schools and you know say like ‘Go Hawks’ or something like that. But if they get mad cause I’m an Iowa fan cause my brother is playing for Iowa, then props to them for being that dedicated.”

Tucker will wrap up his Rock On College Tour this Wednesday, but he’ll continue to tour through the first week of December to promote his new single, “Momma and Jesus.”
