When Tucker Beathard first started pursuing music as a career, even though he grew up around the business, since his dad, Caey Beathard, is a hugely successful songwriter, he still had a lot to learn. Tucker says, “It’s kind of just been trying to take a step back and soak up everything. I guess growing up around the business I never really, it’s just something you’ve always been around so you don’t really know any better. Like I didn’t know what it meant if my dad got a number one song or what everything was.”
One thing Tucker has learned is that it takes a village to build a successful career, even as a solo artist. He says, “It’s really cool to see the support about something you’re passionate about and then having other people buy into that. I’ve always been like a team person. It’s kind of just awesome to see all the support, people supporting me.”
So far the teamwork surrounding Tucker’s career has earned him a top five song with “Rock On,” and he’s currently climbing the charts with his second single, “Momma and Jesus.”
