(AUDIO) TUCKER BEATHARD USES SONGWRITING AS AN OUTLET FOR HIS EMOTIONS

Tucker Beathard is not big on freely expressing his emotions, but thankfully he’s able to do it through his songwriting.  He says, “I never got into song writing thinking of, ‘You know, I wanna be famous someday,’ or whatever. I honestly, and I still believe, I could really care less about that. I mean, I want to make a living off of it, but no, it’s more about just kind of expressing myself.”

Tucker frequently got into trouble when he was growing up and he says, “Songwriting growing up was always just my therapy and my outlet. And yeah I don’t like talking about feelings and whatnot.  So, I don’t know, I just look for an emotion in each song and try to hammer it on the head.”

Tucker’s latest single expresses his desire to live a little more along the straight and narrow for the two people who have loved him unconditionally, “Momma and Jesus.”

Tucker Beathard – songwriting emotional outlet  :27

“Oh, 100%. I never got into song writing thinking of, ‘You know, I wanna be famous someday,’ or whatever. I honestly, and I still believe, I could really care less about that. I mean, I want to make a living off of it, but no, it’s more about just kind of expressing myself.  Like songwriting growing up was always just my therapy and my outlet. And yeah I don’t like talking about feelings and whatnot.  So, I don’t know, I just look for an emotion in each song and try to hammer it on the head.”
