(AUDIO) TUCKER BEATHARD VALUES HIS DAD’S OPINIONS OF HIS SONGWRITING

Tucker Beathard is fortunate to have a dad who is a prolific and successful songwriter.  Casey Beathard has written hit songs for Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Billy Currington, Gary Allan and many others, and Tucker says, “I respect my dad’s opinion more than anything and I think the biggest thing for me growing up is he just really kind of led by example.  Never has, never will force anything on me or hold my hand through anything, but growin’ up around how he takes pride in his lyrics and listening to his demos, naturally that’s what I looked up to and you know that’s what I kind of strive for and the same mentality.”

Tucker also laughs and admits about his dad, “He’s one of the few people that can tell me, you know, ‘I hate that song, that song sucks.’ I probably won’t say it to his face, I’ll probably be like ‘yeah whatever,’ but I’ll probably go back home and rewrite it.”

While Tucker’s mom is not thrilled with the “Jackass” inspired video he just released for his new single, “Momma and Jesus,” we’re betting his dad gave the song itself a thumbs up.

Tucker Beathard – best dad advice  :35

“I respect my dad’s opinion more than anything and I think the biggest thing for me growing up is he just really kind of led by example.  Never has, never will force anything on me or hold my hand through anything, but growin’ up around how he takes pride in his lyrics and listening to his demos, naturally that’s what I looked up to and you know that’s what I kind of strive for and the same mentality.  We’re different in a lot of ways but I think he just led by example and he’s one of the few people that can tell me, you know, ‘I hate that song, that song sucks.’ I probably won’t say it to his face, I’ll probably be like ‘yeah whatever,’ but I’ll probably go back home and rewrite it.”
