NEW SINGLE – “Better Than You’re Used To”
Some people who are born in small towns grow up, get married, get a steady job and raise a family in their hometown, with no thought of going anywhere else. But Tyler Rich, who is from the small Northern California town of Yuba City, just outside of Sacramento, says, “I always knew I was meant to play music. There’s no question. But the only time I ever felt like I was gonna stop and do the 9 to 5 route, and the back home small-town life where I was raised, is because of love.”
Tyler knows there are some people who have that born here, live here, die here mentality about their small towns, and he says, “There’s nothing wrong with that at all, to believe that that’s the way life is supposed to be, it makes perfect sense. [But] it’s hard to date somebody that doesn’t feel that way, and somebody that wants to be on the road touring and playing music. And when you wanna chase that girl that doesn’t want that lifestyle, it makes you question what you want the most.”
Fortunately, Tyler realized he wanted music the most, so he gave up the girl and headed to Nashville, where he’s now happily married to his wife Sabina, and has his new song, “Better Than You’re Used To” on the radio and climbing the charts, thanks to going viral and getting attention on social media.
