CURRENT SINGLE – “Better Than You’re Used To”
Tyler Rich and his wife Sabina started dating in 2016 and got married in 2019, and until they bought their first home together in Nashville, in March of this year, she lived in Los Angeles and he lived in Nashville. Sabina is a full-time actress, and has appeared in TV shows such as Narcos, The Affair, House of Lies, and she has a major recurring role in L.A.’s Finest, starring Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba. Sabina also played Melanie in the movie version of Entourage. As an actress, Sabina’s job requires her to be in L.A. a lot, which means she and Tyler have to navigate being a long-distance couple sometimes. According to Tyler, “The longest we have ever been apart is, I believe 18 days. We don’t necessarily have a rule but because of my OCD planning we usually go about – and this changes because of our schedules of course – but our regular rotation is anywhere from 5 to 10 days off and then 2 to 5 days on.”
Adding to the necessity to be apart is the fact that Tyler and Sabina’s careers operate on different schedules. “They are usually shooting during the week in L.A. or wherever she’s shooting,” says Tyler. “Auditions are always during the week, and during the week is when I’m usually off, unless I’m writing.”
No matter what challenges arise, Tyler and Sabina, even with their long distance relationship, have been #couplegoals for a lot of people. And even though having to be apart sometimes is not always easy, “We make it work the best we can,” says Tyler.
