NOW STREAMING – I Know You Do EP
Tyler Rich just released a new three-song EP featuring “I Know You Do,” “Good Enough” and “Heaven is Your Hometown.” The collection was produced by The Cadillac Three’s front man, Jaren Johnston, which seems like an interesting combination, since Tyler’s music tends to be more pop country, and The Cadillac Three is known for their country meets Southern Rock edgier sound, but Tyler says it was actually a perfect match.
Tyler Rich – working with Jaren Johnston :46
“Working with Jaren has just been frickin’ awesome. He’s the coolest, he’s funny, he makes me feel like I’m cool when I’m around him. And The Cadillac Three, obviously it’s rock leaning, you know, it’s heavier music. I was really excited about that aspect going into the studio because it could bring something different to my music. But the big 180 that was probably the coolest thing and the most artistic thing in the whole process, was that I kept wanting it to be beefy and heavy and like in your face. And he kept saying, ‘Your show is already that with your energy. Let’s do something different than what people are expecting they’re gonna hear from us.’ And he brought in musicians that I’ve never played with before, people I’d never even met, and it was just a whole different bonding experience. I played in bands my whole life, and when it came down to creating music with my friends in garages and stuff, the collaboration effort, it felt like I was doing that again for the first time in a long time.”
