Tyler Rich has quite a few tattoos, including one across the top of his chest, just under his collar bone that says, ‘IF WE GO DOWN, WE GO DOWN TOGETHER.’ Tyler explains that in high school he was in a band with his buddies, and one of the songs they always used to play was a song called “There’s No I in Team” by a group called Taking Back Sunday. It was a song about best friends, so after high school when the band was splitting up because everybody was going their separate ways, they all decided to get a tattoo to memorialize their friendship.
Tyler says, “We were all kind of going separate places to chase different versions of the same dream. And we were like that song was so important to us when we were in high school. We’re like, why don’t we all get “IF WE GO DOWN, WE GO DOWN TOGETHER’? And we all got it on different places. Like I got it on my chest, and then Costa got it on his leg, and Josh got it on his arm. Anyway, we all got it in different places. So yeah I love this tattoo.”
Tyler is currently climbing the charts with his debut single, “The Difference.” Perhaps he will get a tattoo to memorialize the song’s success.

“It says, ‘IF WE GO DOWN, WE GO DOWN TOGETHER..” When I was in high school, all of my friends that I first started playing music with, my first, like, real bands in high school, one of our favorite bands was that pop/rock, whatever genre you want to call them band, Taking Back Sunday. This Taking Back Sunday song, the song is about best friends and it’s called ‘There’s No I in Team.’ So we used to always play that song in the band room when we were in high school. And so when we graduated high school, you know, one buddy was going to the Coast Guard and one guy was staying in town and one guy was moving to Denver and I was moving to L.A..
