CURRENT SINGLE – “Better Than You’re Used To”
Tyler Rich admits he was pretty mischievous kid, especially around the 4th of July, because he was obsessed with fireworks from a very young age, and they were illegal where he grew up in Northern California. “We’ve never gotten into anything crazy,” says Tyler, “other than illegal fireworks, as much as we could get ‘em that weren’t allowed in California – firecrackers and stuff.”
As a kid Tyler thought it wasn’t fair that kids in other states could play with firecrackers but he and his friends couldn’t, so he says, “We did as much as we could and we never got caught, which was awesome.”
Now, as an adult, Tyler says, “4th of July is country music to me. It’s America, it’s fireworks, it’s loud, it’s exciting, it’s drinking, it’s barbecuing. 4th of July is country and it’s one of my favorite holidays.”
Tyler Rich – 4th of July mischief :28
“Man, fireworks to me have always – just like any little kid, I was just obsessed with ‘em. We never got into anything crazy, other than illegal fireworks, as much as we could get ‘em that weren’t allowed in California – firecrackers and stuff. But I was like, ‘Well how come these people in these other states get to play with firecrackers and we don’t? We should be allowed to.’ So we did as much as we could and we never got caught, which was awesome. Fourth of July is country music to me. It’s America, it’s fireworks, it’s loud, it’s exciting, it’s drinking, it’s barbecuing. Fourth of July is country and it’s one of my favorite holidays.”
