A lot of artists admit they can no longer enjoy concerts strictly as a fan because their artist brain is always bust studying and taking notes, but Tyler Rich says, “It depends on what band or artist I’m seeing. If I’m a really big fan I can 100 percent get lost in the music cause I’m just singing every word and just really in the moment.”
On the other hand, if Tyler is watching a superstar or someone he’s just watching for fun, he says, “I’m usually just taking notes or critiquing. ‘Oh, I wouldn’t have done that.’ ‘Who let them do that?’ “Oh, that was great! We gotta do that.’ It’s all about the notes. But if I’m a super fan, if it’s somebody I just really love, I try to get lost in the moment and forget that it’s what I do for a living.”
Tyler’s tour schedule for the next several months is full of fairs, festivals and multi-artist shows, so chances are “The Difference” singer will have a chance to do some note taking and some listening just for the love of the music. You can see his full tour schedule at tylerrich.com.
