Tyler Rich’s musical aspirations started when he was in middle school, but unfortunately his work ethic didn’t kick in until later. “I remember my first band I was in where we never actually had a practice, but we were in the quad in sixth grade and we’re like – eighth grade, sorry – and we’re like, ‘Oh, we’ve got to be in a band,’ you know, we all got instruments and stuff now.”
Tyler assigned each guy a role in the band. “I’m like, ‘Anthony you’re going to play bass and Roy you’re going to play drums.’ And none of us did anything,” he says, but technically they were in a band.
Fortunately, Tyler is a lot more serious and committed to his music these days, working hard to promote his song, “The Difference,” and getting ready to release his new self-titled EP this Friday.
