(AUDIO) TYLER RICH’S FORMER WORKPLACE, RED ROBIN, HAS A SPECIAL PLACE IN HIS HEART

CURRENT SINGLE – “Better Than You’re Used To”

Most country artists have at least one pre-music job that they are so thankful to never have to do again, but Tyler Rich had what he considered one of the best jobs before he started making a living as an artist.  He worked at Red Robin from the time he was 17 until he was about 25, and he says, “Red Robin was such an incredible company to work for.  Not only do they have bottomless fries, but they just really supported my dream.”

Throughout his eight years, Tyler worked his way up from busser to waiter to bartender to manager and then corporate trainer for servers at new Red Robin locations across the country. During that time, Tyler says,  “Anytime I would go on the road with one of my bands, I’d be like, ‘Yeah, I need two months off. We’re gonna go travel around in a van and play music.’  They’d be like, ‘Absolutely.  When you get back all your shifts will be the same.’”

As if that wasn’t enough, Tyler says, “At one point we went and played this corporate show for Red Robin and they had come up and were like, ‘Hey, we love what you’re doin’. Thanks for playing our event.’ And they gave us a gift card that was unlimited. So, anytime we found a Red Robin on the road, all six, seven of us could eat for free. So, sometimes we’d drive 20, 30 miles out of the way just to get to a Red Robin because we were broke, poor musicians on the road. So, I cannot say enough good things about that company.”

And we can see why.  But what we really want to know is did that unlimited Red Robin gift card ever expire and does Tyler still have it?

Tyler Rich – Labor Day Red Robin  :54

“I worked at Red Robin for about eight years. Red Robin was such an incredible company to work for.  Not only do they have bottomless fries, but they just really supported my dream. I started when I was 17 as a busser, and then led into training bussers to serving to training servers to bartending to managing to being a corporate trainer where I would travel and open up these new locations and train all the locals that were gonna work there full-time. And they all just believed in me. And anytime I would go on the road with one of my bands, I’d be like, ‘Yeah, I need two months off. We’re gonna go travel around in a van and play music.’  They’d be like, ‘Absolutely.  When you get back all your shifts will be the same.’  At one point we went and played this corporate show for Red Robin and they had come up and were like, ‘Hey, we love what you’re doin’.
