(AUDIO) WITH HIS FEAR OF DEEP WATER AND SHARKS, BRANTLEY GILBERT PREPARES TO SET SAIL ON HIS SECOND ANNUAL FAN CRUISE

Brantley Gilbert will be setting sail from Miami to Cozumel on his second annual Kick It in the Ship Cruise in just two weeks, and even though he says, “I’m scared to death of deep water and sharks,” he’s excited to get on board, because he says, “There’s gonna be a lot of great music and some good times … and I know it’s gonna be such a good time.”

Last year when Brantley decided to fill a cruise ship with over two thousand of his fans, who can be a little rowdy, he admits, “I was concerned about it, honestly, but the cruise folks were so impressed with them.  They said it’s one of the best-behaved crowds they’ve had on a music cruise/band cruise.”

There was plenty of drinking and partying on board but everybody behaved themselves and they all got home safely, and Brantley says, “It was an incredible time, from what I hear. From the minute I stepped on that boat till the time I got off of it, I was running a million miles an hour.  So I’ve kind of tried to get ‘em to cut me out some time on this one to kind of stop by and hear more than a song of each artist that’s on the boat, cause we got a laundry list of guys and girls coming out.”

Joining Brantley for this year’s Kick It in the Ship Cruise will be Chase Rice, LANCO, Tyler Farr, Diamond Rio, Danielle Bradbery, Tyler Rich, Jon Langston, Colt Ford and many others.  Brantley says, “It’s like a floating music festival, man. There’s something going on at all hours of the night.  So if you’re like me and you’re a vampire, there’s always somebody playing somewhere. There’s a casino, and man it was just like they let a bunch of rednecks loose on a boat. It was an awesome time.  It was a lot of fun, so we’re looking forward to this next one.”

Brantley will be headlining two shows on the ship, and perhaps Danielle Bradbery will be able to step in for Lindsay Ell on the cruise to sing her part of Brantley and Lindsay’s top five duet, “What Happens in a Small Town.”

“Well the first one was awesome and this one’s shaping up to be the same way. I was concerned about it, honestly, but the cruise folks were so impressed with them.  They said it’s one of the best-behaved crowds they’ve had on a music cruise/band cruise.  And they drank, partied, and had a good time and everybody really got along. It was an incredible time from what I hear. From the minute I stepped on that boat till the time I got off of it, I was running a million miles an hour.  So I’ve kind of tried to get ‘em to cut me out some time on this one to kind of stop by and hear more than a song of each artist that’s on the boat, cause we got a laundry list of guys and girls coming out.  And it’s like a floating music festival, man. “There’s gonna be a lot of great music and some good times. We’re all looking forward to it. I’m scared to death of deep water and sharks and if I’m getting on this boat because I know it’s gonna be such a good time, I think the other folks have gotta be stoked too.  We’re excited.”
