Growing up in Northern California, life was all about getting out and exploring and getting dirty for young Tyler Rich. His family lived in the suburbs and he says, “I don’t know if it’s something kids get to do these days anymore, but man, when we were kids we would just ride our bikes off as far as we could possibly ride without getting in trouble – through fields and frickin’ mountains and hills.”
When he got older, Tyler and his friends traded in their bikes for cars and he says, “We would just spend an entire weekend, middle of the night, just exploring the mountains and graveyards and just anything we could get dirty in. I grew up around this old abandoned missile silo in Northern California. And I mean we would go and crawl through the mud just to get inside of it and just go and explore all that. And to me it was just how we were raised out there.”
Now with his debut single, “The Difference,” on the radio, Tyler gets to explore the whole country traveling from city to city touring and meeting fans, and he still manages to find adventure at music festivals, amusement parks and other fun places.
Tyler Rich – life growing up :32
“I was the worst kid you have ever met. No I’m kidding, I’m kidding. We lived in the suburbs. I don’t know if it’s something kids get to do these days anymore, but man, when we were kids we would just ride our bikes off as far as we could possibly ride without getting in trouble – through fields and frickin’ mountains and hills, and even in high school, we took it to the car. We would just spend an entire weekend, middle of the night, just exploring the mountains and graveyards and just anything we could get dirty in. I grew up around this old abandoned missile silo in Northern California. And I mean we would go and crawl through the mud just to get inside of it and just go and explore all that. And to me it was just how we were raised out there.”
