Zac Brown Band is about as self-sufficient of a band as they come not only do they record their own music, they also build their own tour buses, create their own merchandise, and pretty much manufacture anything they need for the band down in their headquarters in Atlanta. According to the guys in the band, “Zac’s always done everything himself. You know, if you want it done right, do it yourself, but in the early days it was on a smaller scale. Like, he built our first trailer, he just wants to do it all and so he got his own restaurant, that we played in, and it’s just on a bigger scale now.”
Although it is the Zac Brown band, Zac says, “It’s pretty big now. And we’re blessed, and I’m not any more important than any one person that works with us. It’s really cool. It’s really cool watchin’ it all come alive.”
The band is currently promoting their latest single, “Homegrown,” off their new album, which will be out in April, and they’re getting ready to head to Australia at the end of March and beginning of April for a three-day tour.

Zac Brown Band – building empire :46
“Zac’s always done everything himself. You know, if you want it done right, do it yourself, but in the early days it was on a smaller scale. Like, he built our first trailer, he just wants to do it all and so he got his own restaurant, that we played in, and it’s just on a bigger scale now.”
“There’s always been a culture surrounding it as well. There’s always been a family and a group of folks that you can count on, it’s just bigger now.”
“It’s pretty big now. And we’re blessed, and I’m not any more important than any one person that works with us. It’s really cool. It’s really cool watchin’ it all come alive.”
“He ends up hirin’ people who ended up really good at their job and they love working for him, but at the same time they’re also good to the people around ‘em, otherwise they don’t last very long.”
