Under Zac Brown’s leadership, the Zac Brown Band believes the best people to handle most aspects of their career, from the music to the tour busses to the merchandise to catering and much more, Zac says, “We don’t’ outsource a lot. We don’t outsource hardly any of it. So, when you outsource it, you’re in line with a bunch of other customers that are waiting to get something done by somebody else. Whereas, if we bring it in-house, we’ve curated the talent that’s there to help us do it and we’re the ones accountable for it.”
Overseeing almost every aspect of the Zac Brown Band certainly adds more responsibility to Zac’s plate, but he says, “It’s the best way to do it when you want to deliver the absolute best product, and the best service and hospitality that you can, and we just got an army of people that really genuinely love what they do and we all love each other and work our butts off and that’s the difference.”
Zac Brown Band is currently headed toward the top ten with their latest single, “Beautiful Drug,” off their Jekyll & Hyde album.

But if you wanna make it count you gotta do it right, and you gotta have the right people to do it, and that’s what we got. I’m really proud of what everybody’s done to pull together to build ‘Southern Ground’, and to build Zac Brown Band, the touring business and everything that’s around it.”
WHAT THEY’RE DOING THIS WEEK – FEBRUARY 1, 2015 – MONDAY
- Zac Brown Band is off the road for a while after wrapping their weekend playing in Mexico. They will get back on the bus in March.
- The group’s latest single “Beautiful Drug” sits in the top 15 on the charts this week.
