(AUDIO) Zac Brown Band’s “Beautiful Drug” Is Their Version of A Club Song

Zac Brown Band’s latest single, “Beautiful Drug,” starts out deceptively mellow, before it builds into a full on danceable crescendo, and Zac says, “That’s our version of like a club song, you know? That’s still our band and our sound of what we do but could still be put in a nightclub and turned on and let the room bounce.”

As for the message of the song, Zac says, “It’s about a guy being kind of infatuated with a woman and she’s his drug, and it was a lot of fun to play. I played some banjo on that song and did some programming on it, and it’s pretty down the middle love song, like a high-tempo infatuation song, put it that way, but just the energy that’s in there was fun to do, it was fun to create.”

“Beautiful Drug” is the latest release off Zac Brown Band’s album, Jekyll & Hyde.
