Eli Young Band
(AUDIO) Eli Young Band Is Happy To Be Down Under For A Second Time
The Eli Young Band is in Australia for the second time in their career. They played the CMC Rocks the Hunter Music Festival this weekend, and later this week they’ll join Toby Keith for a few dates. Jon Jones says, “The first time it was Tim McGraw and Faith, and it was great. We were there for almost a month. We were able to bring our families down there with us for a good part of it and it like a tour and a vacation. We had a couple days off between shows and a couple days in Sydney before the whole thing kicked off. It was beautiful.”
The guys were also excited to find a vibrant country music scene in Australia the first time they were there. “Not only do they embrace what we’re importing over there but a hand-full of their own artists that just do really well and were really gracious to us,” says Jon. “But it’s one of the most beautiful countries I think any of us have ever been to.” And getting to be there with Toby should be an adventure because Jon says, “Toby Keith is a wild man to party with, so it’s gonna be interesting doin’ that down there.”

Jon Jones – “This’ll be our second time to go to Australia. The first time it was Tim McGraw and Faith, and it was great. We were there for almost a month. We were able to bring our families down there with us for a good part of it and it like a tour and a vacation. We had a couple days off between shows and a couple days in Sydney before the whole thing kicked off. It was beautiful. We had a excellent chance to see the country and get to know the people, and as it turns out they’ve got a really strong country scene of their own. Not only they embrace what we’re importing over there but a hand-full of their own artists that just do really well and were really gracious to us. But it’s one of the most beautiful countries I think any of us have ever been to. Toby Keith is a wild man to party with, so it’s gonna be interesting doin’ that down there.”
