- Delta Rae’s debut single on The Valory Music Co. is “A Long and Happy Life.”
- The members of Delta Rae are three siblings, Ian Hölljes (vocals and guitar), Eric Hölljes (vocals, guitar, piano and keys) and Brittany Hölljes (vocals), as well as Elizabeth “Liz” Hopkins (vocals), Mike McKee (percussion) and Grant Emerson (bass guitar).
- Brittany says one of the coolest things that has happened in the last seven years is the unbreakable bond she has formed with her band mates and the bond they have formed with their fans. “To know that the stories we tell through our songs are relatable for so many souls is beyond moving.”
- Delta Rae hopes people always know they care. “We care about the songs we are writing, we care about the way they sound, we care about our audiences’ experience and their relationship with our music.”
- Ian explains the meaning behind the group’s new video for “A Long and Happy Life”: “We started with his vision of beautiful pastoral southern imagery and weaved in the parts of Delta Rae music videos that we love: magic, mysticism, and ghosts. We wanted to tell a beautiful, happy ghost story of friends and family gathering for an Estate Sale in the country — a send-off for departed loved ones. As the party builds, kids explore the house and interact with the spirits of the house as they guide them to books, instruments and garments that will find a new life in them. These items are real artifacts from our own family histories. As the party ends, the spirits disappear and leave the house and the heirlooms to their new owners, passing on the legacy of a long and happy life.”
