- Delta Rae’s debut single on The Valory Music Co. is “A Long and Happy Life.”
- The members of Delta Rae are three siblings, Ian Hölljes (vocals and guitar), Eric Hölljes (vocals, guitar, piano and keys) and Brittany Hölljes (vocals), as well as Elizabeth “Liz” Hopkins (vocals), Mike McKee (percussion) and Grant Emerson (bass guitar).
- Delta Rae doesn’t often get too experimental or spontaneous in their live shows because she says, “Rehearsals are our creative space, playing live is playing out the stories we’ve honed behind closed doors.
- In addition to traditional instruments, Mike has also been known to play things like chains and trash cans on a song like “Bottom of the River,” which they often perform in their live shows.
- Early in the life of the band, Delta Rae was recognized by Rolling Stone in their Women Who Rock campaign, since Liz and Brittany are usually the ones who sing lead on most of their songs.
