(AUDIO) Joe Don Rooney of Rascal Flatts Admits His Serious Addiction To Golf

When Joe Don Rooney isn’t on stage with Rascal Flatts or in the recording studio, or promoting their latest single, “Riot,” there’s a good chance you will find either on the golf course or watching golf on TV. “I love golf and I’m addicted to golf,” says Joe Don, “and it pretty much drives my wife Tiffany crazy because I don’t like to watch much TV, really. If I am watching TV I’m watching golf and so I have it on the Golf Channel pretty much 24/7 and so anytime she walks in a rooms she like, ‘Oh, gosh golf. How do you watch that? It makes me wanna fall asleep?’”

While his wife finds watching gold boring, Joe Don says, “It’s just very relaxing to me and I love it and it’s something that I find a lot a joy in and I usually learn something every time I watch it, so I can apply that to my own, own golf game, whenever I get the chances to play.”

Joe Don has about another month to get out on the golf course as much as he can before Rascal Flatts kicks off their Riot! Tour on May 29th in St. Louis, although he’s been known to find courses in cities across the country when Rascal Flatts is on tour.
