(AUDIO) LACI KAYE BOOTH’S TRAVELING MUSICIAN DAD EXPOSED HER TO THE LEGENDS OF COUNTRY MUSIC AS A CHILD

DEBUT SINGLE – “Shuffle”

Laci Kaye Booth comes by her love of classic country music honestly. As she explains, “I grew up in Livingston, Texas, a small town where everybody knows everybody. My parents were actually really young when they had me. They were 15 and 17 and they ended up divorcing when I was three. And my dad is a traveling Texas country musician.”

Laci says one of the earliest memories of music she has “is sitting on the couch with my dad while he played guitar, and singing with him. My dad loved Merle Haggard and Willie and Waylon, and so we would sing old-school country music. But what I really enjoyed, my go to song, was ‘Crazy’ by Patsy Cline.”

That also explains why Laci was inspired to include old school country and new country women and songs in her debut single, “Shuffle.”
