NASHVILLE, TN (October 25, 2024) – Country superstar Brett Young is hung up on the one that got away in his sentimental new track “Kiss To Forget,” out today via Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment. Written by Young alongside Ashley Gorley, Jon Nite and Jimmy Robbins, the track finds a heartbroken narrator trying to move on with someone new who is perfect on paper. However, no matter how flawless she may seem, the narrator can’t seem to shake the memory of and the longing for his former flame.
LISTEN TO “KISS TO FORGET” HERE
“‘Kiss To Forget’ is a song written to the one who got away. Telling her that anybody else he tries to be with, no matter how perfect, just won’t work,” shares Young. “He lost the only person for him and the best he can do moving forward is to hope to find some kind of distraction from the one he really wants.”
The calming melody of the track lures listeners into a trance as the cymbals crash into a daydream of what could have been. “Kiss To Forget” comes off the heels of last month’s “fun and flirty” (All Country News) song “Say Less” and “hit bound” (MusicRow) track “Goodnight Into Good Morning,” which was released in July.
Young is currently on the road with special guests Restless Road, Tyler Braden, Hannah McFarland and Owen Riegling. The fall tour will see upcoming dates in cities including Charleston, SC (10/25), Durham, NC (10/26), Mt. Pleasant, MI (11/1), Gary, IN (11/2) and more.
