TUSCALOOSA, AL (September 10, 2021) – Rising superstar Riley Green packed the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater last night, marking the venue’s first sold out concert of 2021. With a rocky start to the day Green and crew were almost sidelined for the big night after one of his buses caught fire overnight outside Marshall, TX. With everyone safe and the bus fixed Green and the band made it to Tuscaloosa just in time.  Opening the show was a round of songwriting collaborators Erik Dylan, Wyatt McCubbin and Cole Taylor followed by Corey Smith.

The Jacksonville, AL native’s last Tuscaloosa performance was October 2019 at Druid City Music Hall to just under 800 curious fans.  Tonight, he drew a rowdy crowd of 7,000 roaring the words back to  hits like “There Was This Girl”, “If It Wasn’t For Trucks”, “I Wish Grandpas Never Died” and many more.

“We have loved having live music back in Tuscaloosa this season,” said Stacy Vaughn, Director of Public Services – City of Tuscaloosa.  “As the largest outdoor theater in West Alabama, the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater is the perfect venue for a sold out Riley Green show.  It’s our our largest crowd of the concert season so far and it was a fantastic show!”

“The Team at Red Mountain Entertainment and Live Nation has loved watching Riley’s career explode and the sold out show tonight in Tuscaloosa is a testament to that success,” said Trevor Starnes.  “We look forward to many more shows with Riley and with his fantastic team at Fusion Music, Red Light Management and WME.”

“If champions are made in Tuscaloosa, Riley Green earned his ring tonight.”  Bradley Jordan, Peachtree Entertainment

Riley rounds out the weekend with Sam Hunt at Greenville Country Music Fest in Greenville, SC before returning to the Dierks Bentley “Beers On Me Tour” next weekend.
