(AUDIO) RONNIE DUNN ADMITS HIS “COWBOY” TATTOO WAS AN ACT OF REBELLION

When Ronnie Dunn showed up a few years ago with the word COWBOY tattooed in big block letters down the entire length of his outer right forearm, a lot of people were surprised to say the least.  Ronnie laughs and says, “I think I would have been the least likely, voted the least likely to ever get a tattoo by people that know me.”

But he explains, “There was a bit of a push back and rebellion thing going on in my head when the Brooks and Dunn thing, we were winding down I was like gawwww!  I just went (to) heck with everything. My mother was real strict. I went to like a strict religious school where you couldn’t even have a beard or mustache, that kind of stuff, so I think in the big grand scheme of things all that was just a bit of rebellion coming out.”

Nowadays the tattoo is just part of who Ronnie is, but the “Damn Drunk” singer admits when he first got it, even his wife and his kids thought he was crazy.
