Interviews with Ronnie Dunn are popping up all over about his return to Vegas next month. And one reporter asked Ronnie to compare that city to Nashville. He said, “We do have our humble version of the Strip. It’s called Lower Broadway here, or Lower Broad.” Ronnie moved to Nashville in 1990 and he looks back on it and says: “It was a rough, rough spot, but now it’s improved with all the growth. Nashville is just exploding now. People are saying the state bird should be a construction crane.”
He’s seen a lot of talented musicians come and go. Some just want to play music occasionally and others are like Kix and Ronnie…looking to sing on a bigger stage. Ronnie commented on how the downtown music scene has changed, “Nashville is just club, after club, after club, after club. Guys who are not on tour or session players stopping into places. There are just some killer, killer bands and players here.”
Ronnie and his killer 10-piece band will be back on the ultimate stage playing Vegas next month as the Reba, Brooks & Dunn: Together in Vegas residency reconvenes.
