At heart, Ronnie Dunn has always been a man of music. He says, “I started listening to music with my father who was a guitar player and a singer in a band. And in a way, this was his aspiration – to do what I’m doing now.
He was raised on true country music: Merle Haggard, George Jones, Tammy Wynette, and Loretta Lynn, but when he was about 6 or 7 years old, things changed. He recalls listening to Elvis Presley on a little record player…It was so different, he found himself sneaking off to listen to Rock and Roll.
Those are a few of the artists that influenced his signature sound and ones he still listens to. And though there’s not a release date yet, you can bet you’ll hear it in his new album.
