An idol, a hero, and a superstar…all words you’ll find in the dictionary to define the word “Icon.” And now you can put Ronnie Dunn’s name in there too.

Last week, Brooks & Dunn were the recipients of the Nash ICON Award. Ronnie commented, “When I think of Icon, I think Merle, Waylon, Willie, and Patsy Cline.”

In reality though, in the last 25 years, Brooks & Dunn have become the biggest-selling duo in the history of county music. Ronnie joked and said, “I’m gonna wake up tomorrow with a hangover on a million dollar bus in Las Vegas, and look over at an award that says ICON, knowing that I ain’t an Icon. I’m just a skinny guy with a record deal.”

Ronnie’s bus is in Vegas because Brooks & Dunn is there with Reba for 2 weeks as they continue their residency at Caesars Palace. Ronnie is also finishing up a new album and he just shot a video for his next single, “Damn Drunk.”
